In 2018, Google convened its first “State of Black Women” Summit, bringing together Black women employees from around the world for a powerful, intimate gathering centered on visibility, community, and collective voice. Designed as an internal space for reflection, connection, and advocacy, the summit created room for honest conversations about identity, opportunity, and belonging within the tech industry.
During this historic moment, I had the honor of photographing some of the women who shaped this experience capturing portraits that celebrate their strength, brilliance, and individuality. Each image stands as a testament to presence, purpose, and the enduring impact of representation.
